As a teenager, Wong Swee Chun joined the construction industry as an apprentice to fulfil his passion for building homes. Amassing his experience and motivated by the rapid development in Singapore, he started Straits Construction in 1969.

Straits Construction secured its first public housing construction project at Serangoon Avenue 4 in 1982. Since then, Straits Construction has grown from strength to strength. Today the company has in its capacity, over 350 full-time staff as well as over 450 direct workers, delivering distinctive quality projects for our clients.
